Matt has spent the past 21 years in the wine and spirits wholesale industry after working in restaurants, and owning his own businesses in both Colorado and Connecticut. Scouting opportunities and calculated risks turned an idealistic English major into what he describes today as an “accidental” businessman. As a voracious reader and lifelong learner, Matt is constantly challenging his convictions and avoiding conventions in the search for personal and professional growth.
After 13 years in Brooklyn, Matt and his wife of 25 years, Jennifer, moved their now adult sons William and Thomas back to Colorado to ski, hike, play in the mountains, and enjoy a better quality of life. Jennifer’s career, a rambunctious dog named Beau, and VinMarket keeps Matt very busy, the good kind of busy.
“Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” – Thomas Edison (American Inventor)
